Hi all
I Recently accquired a set of alloys, with a polished alloy dish, and I was wondering if there is a magical compound that can keep the dished nice, shiny and protected? I know there will be a need for thorough cleaning, often, but just wanted to add that extra layer of protection. These will be strictly summer use only(but we all know that summer in the UK usually means plenty of water)

There are some top wheel waxes available, such as Chemical Guys, Poorboys, Swissvax and Wheelwax!. I would also suggest a couple of coats of Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 as a decent base before waxing.

Re cleaning the best shampoo available is from Porsche....costs £10, available from any dealer, and is made by the people who make P21S. It is PH neutral, and just lifts away the dirt.

Finally it is worth taking off the wheels and waxing the inner rims too, top up every month!

Agree with the above. Take them off and clean thoroughly then couple of coats of 109 followed by a few coats of wax.

You'll only need to do this a few times over the summer. In between just shampoo and water and top up with detailing spray. Also get yourself a good non abrasive wheel brush.

Have a look at a firm called The Polishing Company, they do different classes of (very fine) liquid polishes that can bring the wheels back up if they lose their shine.
