Old tvr paint in need of a makeover
Discussion
I have 93 yr red Griffith 500 and the paintwork is starting to look shabby swirls and scratches nothing too serious but i cant afford a re-spray and i dont mind hard work . been looking at some of the paintwork stuff on this forum and well to be honest its a bit baffling , clay bars , waxes, shampoo, sealers the list goes on . What i was after was some kind expert to give me some step by step advice on giving the old girl a makeover . Cheers Tom.
Tom, quite simply you need to rethink your cleaning regime and to look at having somebody with a Porter Cable polished or a rotary polisher pop over and restore your paint. The paint just needs some simple TLC, the car needs a decent polish and then you needto start waxing the car every six to eight weeks....also throw away that sponge.
