So, I spend a small fortune getting some polishes, the UDM, clean all my kit, get it organised, rearrange the garage, move the whole house to the left a bit as the season to start really getting down to some serious cleaning is upon us. Then it rains. Really dusty rain which has left the car looking like a wreck. Then it gets sunny. and hot. Too hot to get out and clean the car as ALL of the products specifically say not to be used in direct sunlight. Grrr. At least the kids are happy.

Just itching to get out. Actually cleaned just one wheel as it was in the shade and cooler than the rest. God, how sad. Tried to put the gazebo over the car. Then the wind came.

Anybody else this sad? C'mon - what else can I do on a sunny day (apart from work, and the interior, which I have already done!!)

Tried it - got blown over. So put house bricks and the whole thing just twisted, getting far too close to the bodywork for comfort! Suppose I could buy an expensive gazebo!! biggrin

Rent a unit for a day?
To be honest, I've rarely paid any attention to "do not use in direct sunlight" on the labels - it's normally fine, or you work smaller areas before removing, etc.
Dirty rain is a right royal pain in the jaxie, but what can you do other than rinse off .

Now thats an idea - will look in Yellow Pages. Are there places dedicated to this kind of activity or is it just a case of renting any old unit and hoping they don't mind you cleaning your car?

All the cars round here (Sussex) are covered in quite a thick layer of dust - quite strange - been told it is from the Sahara - hmmmm

If after washing your car it gets covered in dust, pollen etc, either rinse down the car with an open ended hose, no pressure washer, or use a microfibre and some Meguiars QD (Quick Detailer)....any QD will do.

The surface is then ready for polishing, glazing, sealing and waxing!!

QD in hand - heading out door. Got some Wheel Brightener from MarkV8 - Meguiars stuff. Christ that stuff is good - had tried EVERY other product in the market to clean the wheels on my wifes disco - had become dritted and engrained. This stuff just washed it all off. Smells potent aswell - even diluted at 4:1!!
