soaking nuts and bolts

whats th ebest way to clean nuts and bolts...
is it worth soaking them in something like white spirit or Gun wash ?

Get yourself a bench grinder and fit a wire brush wheel. Works a treat.
or
I can highly recommend raceglaze alubright (rust remover) or bilt hamber DEOX C powder (rust remover)
