BMW E46 bubbling paintwork

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking at an E46 (2001 X reg) that has some small paintwork (which is silver) bubbles by the boot. It is literally right by the edge under the rear lights. (sory no pictures).

Is this something that is going to be easy to rectify?

It is more than likely gonna be the dreaded rust under it, you wont know how widespread it is till its rubbed down. If its under the lights, probably means water has been lying in the light appatures. Cant remember how long the anti-corrosion warrany on a BM is 6/10 years???? If its still in-with the warranty take it along to your nearest BM service dept and "chance your arm." If not you will need to get it done at a bodyshop. Or if you want a "cheap" quick repair that has no gaurantee that the rust wont come back get it smart repaired.
