Hi Folks,

I'm not usually one for keeping the exterior of my cars clean, but I thought I'd have a go at sorting out my chimaera.
Spent a couple of hours on the car this morning.

Here's how the bonnet ended up (it does have a few stone chips - the marks you can see) but I have managed to removed the swirls and some minor scratches. Just thought I'd share it as I'm chuffed to pieces with the result. Crap quality camera phone; the relection is the me, strip light and ceiling/roof of the garage.

Appart from those stone chips it does look very nice mate. Now get some wax on her, make it look even better and itll help with cleaning the next time around.

Again sorry about the groin shot!

Regarding the bonnet - I've put some autoglym extra gloss protection on as it was all I had in the garage. What would you guys recomend as a wax? I had a tiny bit of carnuba(sp) wax by meguers but not enough to finish the job.

There are lots of choices, its just down to how much you want to spend. I would say to get a swissvax best of show starter kit, but failling that, i would buy a zaino kit.
