A normal metal polish such as Autoglym Metal Polish will get the general gunk off and bring it back to a shine.

I don't think there is much that can be done about the rainbow effect you get on polished exhaust pipes though as this is the result of the metal being heat-treated by getting hot/going cold when you drive.

If we are talking about your black lambo ? then the best way is to remove the rear black grills that hold the exhaust trim !! If you did not know the exhaust on the gallardo is only a cover and not joined the the exhaust system !!
So remove grills and then the 3 screws that hold the exhaust trim to the grills ! Now you have just the exhaust trim in your hands any good quality chrome cleaner will work !!

Here is a picture with the grills removed and you will see that the exhausts stop in side the bumper !!

You could always email miracle or ring him as you all ready know of him thou i am sure he will help !!!!

Yup Miracle is my best buddy??

Isnt that crap though fake exhaust bits on a car like this- thanks to both for the info

What i meant was you know how they look more brasslike than chrome - be nice to bring it back shining!

Typical - Id probably stick a tubi or like on if it didnt invalidate the warranty..

thought you did a cracking job on that black spyder - i must admit after reading threads on here Im dubious about where ive put the car... pick it up today so we'll see

The lambo in the picture had a tubi , but removed it in the end as it was too loud for him !! frownfrown

I guess you have gone with permagard then ?? as you posted on the permagard thread...

I am sure miracle would of advised you against this thou ??

But still let us know if you are happy with the outcome , hope all goes well !! and pics would be nice too !!biggrin

If your paying £480 to Permaguard the very least they could do is polish the exhaust as well wink
