How to wash...
Discussion
Depends on grime level of the car, and the sealant/wax on it - a touchless wash with just snow foam can be attained.
Too aggressive a foam, or concentration, and you'll say goodbye to it, or severely curtail its longevity.
If that doesn't matter, then there's a number of foaming TFR's (traffic film remover) that'll do the job, but otherwise, stick to the foaming pre-wash, then your twin bucket physical wash.
If you want to be lazy at some aspect of the process, buy a resin-filled vessel to give you very soft water for open hose sheeting, once rinsed, as that water can dry without leaving mineral spot deposits.

John,
Something like this:

It's basically a water softener that attaches to the hose line.
