I live in Central London and have no access to hoses or a washing area for my car.
I'm going to go home this weekend to the parent's but only have a couple of hours tonight to buy everything I need - so no internet orders.
I'll need buckets, grit guards, wash mitt, shampoo as starters. I see Halfords sell a Meguiars mitt, but what is the best shampoo they sell? Also, as my car was washed, polished and waxed about 6 weeks ago do I only need to wash it this time and not go on to polish and wax too?
All advice gratefully received.

They do either Meg's Gold Class or the Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner - both should do good job.
In terms of finishing it off quickly afterwards, you could always buy the Autoglym Aquawax - quick spray on and then comes with a polishing cloth to wipe off.
I think Halfords were still doing a 3 for 2 offer last time I was browsing on there? No grit guards though...
