What Car Shampoo for my Pressure Washer?
Discussion
Don't use the detergent tank - you'll only blow through whatever you put in it in no time at all.
Pointless too, as it only operates under low pressure, and high build shampoos don't actually do a lot of cleaning.
If you're not going to invest the £40 or so needed for a proper foam lance, then simply buy a manual pressurised sprayer - garden/plant type - and put in Bilt Hamber Surfex HD at 5-10% strength, and spray liberally over the car, concentrating on the lower half where most grime gathers.
Leave for 2-3 mins, then pressure wash off at 45º (give or take) and 6" from the paintwork.
That should see off the majority of the dirt, so what film is left, will be fairly benign to the paintwork when you use your wash mitt, and bucket of decent shampoo solution- not forgetting the rinse bucket too!
