Touch up paints? Clear coat?
Discussion
Hi all,
Have an old metallic Merc with the odd little paint chip etc on the front. Some of the plastic is showing through which is black (whereas the paint is silver) so it would be keen to get rid of these imperfections and have a nice smooth one-colour finish.
What's the most sensible way to do it? It's only little dots so a respray seems overkill and over expense especially as the end colour may not match. Would a touch-up stick from the dealers be worth it? I have seen some dodgy looking touch ups before so am worried. It doesn't look like you get a paint then clear-coat with one of these? It looks alright at a distance but rubbish close up. What's the next best option then.
