I've sprayed a small plastic part & the finish has come out great. I've left it in the airing cupboard all night but had the (silly?) idea of baking it in the oven. Is this a silly idea or would it help the paint harden fully quickly? Say 50 degrees? I know body shops use heat lamps but do they work by UV or is it just heat? Thanks for any tips.
Don't get it too hot or you'll damage the part and/or the paint!
Old booths used to be basically ovens & after the job(s) were done would bake overnight.
Infra red lamps are used esp for SMART type repairs & you also have UV cured paints on the market which are cured by UV lamps.
Google for more info. The paint you used should have come with Technical Data Sheets (you usually have to ask for them) and they will contain forced curing data times & temps.
