I am going to apply repro side decals to my Crimson Red 944 (originals came with the car when supplied but were never fitted - there's an invoice for them in the history file, one unopened packet and a few bits dating from 1987). I think the car needs them to 'lift it' as it's a dull colour except in early morning light on a sunny day when it glows raspberry!

Anyway - I'll clay along the bottom of the doors and wings first. Then:
leave bare so that the vinyl will adhere? OR:
wax first to protect the paintwork?

Thanks . . . .

Definitely don't wax !!!

You want to degrease the surface 1st,get it nice and clean before applying the decals
