What would you consider the average cost to mop a whole(996) car ?

Depends where you live I guess?

My local (W Mids) bodyshop man charges about £55 - £60 for a car of your size. He did my old mans Bentley recently and charged him £70. Dad was so chuffed he gave him a fair bit more than that. Looked lovely as well.

Does it need mopping?

Or just a good polish?

If it needs a good polish investigate a good detailer rather than a mop at a bodyshop.

Mopping can cause more problems than it solves if it's not done properly....

This is a result from a quick mop from a bodyshop that I had to fix

And after being machine polished properly

Those photos above are the ABSOLUTE norm for how a car leaves a bodyshop after a good Buff/Mopp

That car, showing the Mopp/Buffer trail marks all over was caused by a £25 local garage jobby

And to answer the question posed by the OP From about £200 .

I had my car proffessionaly machine polished For £220 a year ago .

I now do it myself as a DA polisher and all the pad's/polish's are considerably cheaper .

John.
