Until a couple of months ago the spoiler was fitted to the car in full finished colour. The wrong shade of red but it was shiney and complete with no blistering problems. if the part is cheap or badly made , with lots of air bubbles trapped under a gel coat that is too thin. then this could explain why the blister appeared when out in the full sun.

It only blistered after getting it back from them in one small area.
Been to a different bodyshop for a talk and he agreed with Reflectolgy's post above, that blistering happens when it is force dried in an oven. Fibreglass should be air dried. The spray shop guy told me it blistered everytime they took it out of the oven to cool. The reason I went to this shop was that I knew they had experience of spraying GRP, albeit a few years ago the last time I saw anything from them. So I assume the GRP specialist has now left
