Any news on the Holden HQ series? Does anyone from here race one?

My dad knew someone who raced one, you don't really hear about it so much these days, I'm not even sure if they still have the series, most of the supply of HQ parts has dried up as a result of this series and since they are getting on a bi they are trying to replace it. They had the ROH commodore cup for early model commodores with 4.2L V8s now that was more entertaining if you ask me.

HQ racing is still fairly strong, at least in Perth.
A few of the more experienced guys have now progressed to the Saloon Car class which was for ED Falcons & VP Commodores (I think) and has recently been extended to VTs & AUs.

Im sure I read somehwere that to buy a car and run a season in HQ or saloon cars is now heading towards the $100K mark...

I can't see that. Not unless it was doing the National Championship and included all travel and accomodation for the whole team.

Thats what I thought at the time.

Still it cant be that cheap to even just run at wanners all year..
