Silver and grey are my fave colours, but never saw either in person! Just reading the Pony sales are/were outselling the Falcon. Amazing.

Good choices. The Silver ones in photos look great - the dealership guy was saying it looked a bit flat in real life though. Keen to see one myself.

The Grey is lovely agreed.

Can't work out if that's because the Mustang is so popular or the Falcon so bad wink

I'm unsure where the market will be in a year or so with the Mustang but have this sense that it will be Monaro-esq in its glacial depreciation.

As the sales guy said, new XR6's have gone $40k and turn up a year later for $20k drive away at John Hughes but couldn't imagine a 1yr old 5.0 Mustang being worth less than perhaps $50k at least for a few years yet.

What about the ridiculous price gouging by everybody including dealers and private sellers?

Not sure what dealers are up to as I haven't seen any main listings over but mine did it at list and no way would I have paid over.

Have seen the private sales - I don't have an issue with it because if it a buyer is prepared to pay over then that's up to them.

Saw a blue on black a few weeks back, think I prefer the exterior look of the previous, but would take everything else of the current.

Currently driving a Quashquai (sp) as a hire car. Tiny diesel, full of toys. Not sure I'd own one though, but nice enough.

A new PHAus addition to the fold will be landing on these fine shores, probably in May. 460 of your big block cubic inches and without a doubt the slowest car in our little corner of PH.

I'll likely start a new thread for it closer to the time, but it qualifies for this thread too as I'm getting bloody excited about it bandit

Need to start looking for a hanger to rent.

A neighbour of mine has one of those, but a convertible, in the same white too. It really is an impressive bit of gear.

Of course he is not game to take it to a shopping centre, so he drives an Astra convertible, & dreams he's in the real thing.

I know where he's coming from. My Triumphs & S2000 sit in the garage, & I daily drive an Ozzie Ford Capri to the shops.

Are you Big Enus or Little Enus??

Whatever, I'm impressed. I thought the idea of running a 20-y-o Jag alongside the 928 was nuts, but this is proper nads-out stuff. Good chap!

I've just started working for a client in North Sydney, so lots of ambling down to CTS on a sunny lunchtime. Last week was greeted by this...

One of which I haven't seen in, well, must be decades. Anyway, gave it a good looking at, a low whistle at the $95k asking price, then wandered across to the other side of the showroom to find its Mk1 older brother - yep, a Mk1 and a Mk2 for sale in the same place. No price on the Mk1 yet as apparently they're still confirming originality and provenance. Have to say, I'm no Ford fan boy, but they did look good. Not "$95k + $95k + $Xk" good, but a nice change from the $400k Italian stuff in there.

I mentioned it to a mate this morning, who has an original Europa and an Exige, and he casually mentioned it was probably time to get his spare Twin Cam into a Cortina shell...biggrin

Having said that, the 512TR is stunning, as too the Aston DBS Vantage.

Cant get past these at the moment:

Just have to find an excuse to get one in place of my Mazda 6 wagon given I only do 20km a day in traffic and rarely have the time to go for an enjoyable drive. The Mazda has a few electrical gremlins but probably nowhere near the level I would see on an R36 with DSG!

Ex supplier of mine has one of these as his daily. Lovely car, felt quick and composed and is still gremlin free 8 years and 150k km on. I would worry about the drivetrain too though if it were mine.

Wonder if it'll hang around just a bit longer...

Also on the wanted list, if only it was closer - perhaps a Perthite could snap it up and scoot it eastwards...

I have naughty thoughts of an M535i hiding an Alpina B7 spec motor biggrin

Good mate of mine had a E28 M535i - upgraded it to a euro spec motor. The handling in the wet on the TRX tyres was "interesting" to say the least. Needless to say the wheels were put away in storage and replaced by a good set of 16 inch BBS Style 5s which were period for the car...

Is it wrong to have a hankering for a luxobarge E39 530i at the moment?

My current daily is an E39 528 with M suspension. I adore it and if it wasn't now time for me to get a new car I'd have another in a heartbeat. It's just 'proper'. Every component feels engineered to an inch of its life.

Do it. Mine is 16 yrs old with 200,000kms and just doesn't feel it.
