I've just relocated to Adelaide from the UK and my TVR Chim is on its way. Are there any other TVR owners in Adelaide who would be interested in meeting up. I'm a member of TVRCC and have lots of copies of Sprint. I've spotted the silver chim on Anzac Highway. Get in touch.

I have a customer who has taken his 4500cc Chimaera 1998 I sold him to Adelaide.

Its trimmed with antelope hide and finished in Wild Oyster Pearl (a sort of goldy/silver Jaguar colour)

I think there are a few out there now and what with TVR out there testing - who knows how many soon

(although I think the testing is more for the US markets myself )

Not Adelaide, but I will be in Melbourne in a couple of months, hoping to have the T350 with me soon after that.

I maybe coming out to Aus in the next few months if i at last get made redundant by my current employer (i've been there for 20 years so can't wait)

I have quite a few friends and relatives out there so i am planning on taking 6 months off and doing a bit of site seeing.

I was hoping to ship my chimp out with me but hadn't got much further than thinking about it.

If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost and how did you go about it.

G'day

Apologies for not replying sooner, but the silly season has only just come to an end for me, and I haven't spent it in front of the computer.

I'm the silver Chimp owner you saw on Anzac Hwy. I do that run down to Glenelg quite often when the sun's out. Holdfast Shores is a top spot for a cold lager and a bit of scenery amongst all those big motor cruisers parked there.

I'd be glad to meet up with you, and I'm sure the other Chimp owner I know here would too. There are only three that I know of in Adelaide: mine, a yellow one and a navy blue one (currently for sale). More will be most welcome, and I can refer you to one or two mechanics who should be able to assist in keeping yours ship-shape.

I'll send my mobile number to your e-mail addrees.

Cheers!
MSJ

PS Don't laugh at the smiley...I actually look like this.

Its Richard from the TVRFREAK.blogspot.com website, if you do ever get 3 chims together down at Glenelg I would love to be there and get some photos for the website sometime.

I am trying to get a list of local TVR owners on my website.

PS. What price is the guy asking for for the blue Chim?

PPS. I think my friend spotted you Chim at Harvey Norman's last week, he called me at the Shutzenfest saying he saw it there. Alot of people walking past it were quite interested in knowing what it was.

Hi Richard

I'll let you know when we finally all get together. It's not proving easy.

You can find the blue Chim for sale here:

www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2024848¤t_rec=1&total_rec=3&sort_type=&make_id=219&state_id=-1&search_distance=25

Looks like he wants $85K for it.

That was me at Harvey N's, looking for some gadgets. I understand TVR's draw those sorts of interested passers-by even in the UK where they are better known.

Cheers
