Melbourne has been freezing, but no snow.
The MR2 is tucked away for now : the Outback (auto, 4wd, abs) is more suited to driving in sleet and drizzle.

22 deg and blue skies this weekend.

Was at the rugby last night, great result.

Now have 2 houses up for sale, but market seems very quiet.

Been working my new job for over 6 months now, so feeling settled.

Roll on summer.

Still 32c and sunny up here in Darwin! All aspects of life pretty good up here, a 900km drive over 1 day from Darwin to Nhulunbuy through ArnhemLands dirt roads on Friday made the work week interesting.

Had my r32 GTR on Hidden Valley Raceway a few weeks back, went very well.

Haven't been on here much over the last few years thanks to young kids and work but I think it's a healthy sign when I get time to have a browse and see what everyone's up to.
Car wise I've spent the last year modding an MX5 NC with new suspension, LSD, exhaust etc and more recently just finished installing a 2.5l engine which I built myself as a project to include new cams etc.
Off the Lakeside Park tomorrow for a track day and just about to head up Mt Glorious for my Friday fun run, there's some amazing driving roads around this part of the world.
I have just set up a youtube channel to host videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWM_btxTgfnc2-j3xff9-Mg/videos
Swapping a new engine means I now have a decent 2.0l Duratec in the shed so may have some distant plans to strip it down, go for a high compression build with ITB's and then build a Clubbie to put it in.

ok, I'm certified mad, didn't look hard enough for a VEII SS, instead bought another VF....Yes I've lost count to.... More a daily driver and allows the Magnum to have a rest. It will soon be a Redline-Lite.

Fellow at work, more mad than me, bought a "V10 Supra"..... wink

Hats off to your colleague - there's nothing better than coming back to something interesting in the work carpark as opposed to the surrounding sea of Hyundai Tuscons and Mazda CX-5s...

Cant believe it's been over a year since getting the Ranger. Still loving it but its a shame that life gets in the way of using it more as I would like.

Here I am pulling a friend's Toyota out of a muddy hole through which the Ranger went easily.

Sold the X3 daily + MX5 NB weekend toy which did not get used much and brought a MX5 ND.

Wife slight bemused that I sold and MX5 and replaced with a more expensive version :-)

Love it so far, has a few upgrades: exhaust back box and Wildwood 6 pots.

Spent Friday running around in this.

On-road it's not much different to my Wildtrack although the new bi-turbo engine sounds a hundred times better. Lack of radar cruise at this price point is inexcusible in my opinion though!

Baja mode on a gravel track is hillarious.

Is it worth $10k more than a Wildtrack? I dont think so.

Yep, I considered one to replace my 2 year old Wildtrack but like you mention, the reduced tech was a no go for me, radar cruise is one of the best inventions ever on our roads wink

This seems like an appropriate time to ask if everyone is ok? I’ve never considered that fire could reach Greater Sydney, and I’m sure for where I am it’s over-caution, but I’m sure not for everyone?

Got a few colleagues and friends in Sydney, I remember when it was an average fire in 2016 or 2017 and even then it looked like a mist across the whole of Sydney and was not pleasant outside, I can only imagine what its like this time.

Thankfully they all have ways out if need be.

We still have a 190,000+ hectare fire burning near us, that's about the size of Greater London and Paris combined. Luckily the wind direction is in our favour for the moment...

Relocated a couple of years ago.

Thanks, unfortunately we have some savage winds blowing from the wrong direction and a new fire has just sprung up 16Km’s down wind. Fingers crossed.

Yeah its about to hit 31c in Melbourne now and I'm going to take a dip in the pool in a minute - rain tomorrow making way for a cool 16c Saturday and back up to 31c on Monday

What effect that has on the bushfires is anyones guess

Good timing for cooler weather - I’m swapping cars on Tuesday so need to wash the current one this weekend smile

Looks like next week is the same: 3 days at 30 odd and then 18 on Thursday frown
