How to find someone in Aus?

You used to be able to look up electoral roles, or if it is an odd name you could go to www.whitepages.com.auAll we know are his name and date of birth. He left the UK in about 1984, Possibly in Adelaide or Sydney.

One of the welfare groups have a missing person assistance outfit. I think it is the Salvation Army. Give them a try.
Who ever it is used to have a weekly session on ABC radio in Brisbane at least, reporting on their successful efforts, & families they had reunited. Try ABC radio for any info.
The Red Cross might be able to help, or put you onto an agency that can.

You are right! The Saly Army are looking for him too, they don't do as many but they have taken my friends case on. Keeping everything crossed! He might be working at a casino, just hoping he's OK at the point though
OP, if you care to PM the name and dob, I will pass on the details to a friend of mine who is a senior case officer in Adelaide at DIBC. If they entered Australia, their records will be on file somewhere. There may be a privacy issue but happy to try. However, its always worth considering why the person wanted to disappear. Perhaps they dont want to be found?
