Sitting here next to a pool, with a glass of Rose, in 30+ degrees of heat, I can't help but think how lovely this part of France is! Anyone else down here?

Not yet unfortunately but will be early September. Was down there last year in June and it's simply stunning. Where abouts in Vaucluse are you? Enjoy!

The weather is changeable; most parts of rural France are pretty stunning.

Nice. I was n Goult last year, Lacoste this September which can't come soon enough. As you say, the wine is to die for.

No, any good? Not sure they would know a decent wine if it slapped them in the face though!

The roads round there are fantastic.
Smooth, relatively quiet with sweeping bends.
Prime pistonheads territory!

Certainly are, i'm driving down again, on the way back we have booked 2 nights in Lac Annecy, so should be able to pick up the top half of Route Napoleon. We will of course visit the well known Cavaillon market. If you are ever down that way again, would recommend Carve de Lumiers near Goult. Fantastic local wines thumbup
