I will be driving down from Caen to Cacassonne and am looking for a recommendation fir somewhere to break the journey. Looks like Limoges is about the right area so a decent chateau or nice hotel, with good parking of course, is required. Anyone?

How nice (€), and how far? What route will you be taking from Limoges?

I'm thinking of taking the A20 down towards Toulouse and then the A61. As for price, I've no limit, it's only one night so what have you got in mind?

A nice place near us. 50 minutes from Limoges, en route to Angoulême. We've eaten there a few times, and stayed once,

To test your 'no limit' statement; it starts at five or six hundred Euro per night. Excellent restaurant.

Well £603.75 for a one night stop over does seem a little steep laugh

you will need to book parking but they do have a small 3/4 car garage and it is right in the old town so lots of food options
