Welcome to Melbourne smile

I came here whilst travelling the world 5 years and found it most agreeable. I then decided to settle down, bought a house, got married and now have a 6week old son. Hope you end up loving it as much as I do.

Be careful when crossing the road - crossing the road on anything but a green man is a no-no and will get a fine from completely intolerant policepeople.

That collection does look good.

We’ve got settled into our permanent house and the kids are at school.

Bought the Mrs. a Mercedes and have been enjoying the Holden and cheap fuel.

Weather is hot (33c) and the traffic is terrible lol

Hello All, just a quick note to say HI As my family and I will be landing in Melbourne on the 29th to start my 4 year 457.

Holden Commodore sportwagon SV6 is ready for me to collect from the dealers and need to grab a car for the Mrs. Then in due course a classic V8 and bike as things settle down in my new job over there.

Currently looking for a place to rent (short term let in place already) and getting school sorted for my two lads.

Can’t wait!
Welcome hman!

Hope you’re settling in well?

Been to Melbs a couple of times and maybe again next week. I’m over in NSW, up in Woy Woy Bay on the Central Coast, decided not to do the city thing and as I travel a lot, living in either Melbs or Sydney where my company has offices was not an issue, plus, I’m about 10 minutes from the biggest car museum in the Southern Hemisphere! biggrin

Also came over on a 457 just over 3 years ago but now permanent and may apply for citizenship next year.

Enjoy, lots of better opportunities and lifestyle for your family!

Stef

Cheers! I have fond memories hooning around Sydney in a Huracan a couple of years back with a load of maclarens and Ferrari’s for company (a chum has access to Lambo’s through his work).

Where’s the car museum? Might bring my lot over to visit Sydney soon as I have some work going on there in a week or two.
