The original under bonnet stuff was starting to fall apart so I thought we would try something more modern.

I hadn't thought about the manifold not being painted, it has always been like that. A quick google showed several others looking similar, so the answer to your question is, I have no idea. smile

Going to pick it up later today.

Far too many shiny, pampered Lotii sitting in sunshine for my liking wink

For balance have a 2003 111S full suspension rebuild in progress smile

Lovely colour combo. I've been lusting over Evoras since I saw them in the factory years go.

Both built at Hethel, Both powered by Tesla batteries, separated by 40 years

'Lotus Elon' :-) build log > https://www.instagram.com/lotus_elon/ (or w/o insta: mas-design.com/lotus-elon/ )
Specs: https://issuu.com/mark77a/docs/1_page_attachment_i...

Its slightly lighter than with twincam, same F-R balance, but without noise, smells and petrol costs @24mpg !!
Has been total marmite on Lotus pages elsewhere :-) .. Purist hatred to 2nd life love. YOU decide.

PS After C-19, I'd love to get Elan Fan Gordon Murray to compare/contrast .. anyone link us up ?

Now then, I've met many Lotus owners in my time but rarely have they been the proprietor of four Marina door handles simultaneously or had their Rover V8 taillights mounted both ways up! biggrin

Great cars. I'm guessing '85 on the Esprit...

Nice Evora pic from Alex as well. That green is IMO one of very few colours that work with gold wheels.

Thanks for Q.
Last time out I did a load of data logging .. amps, volts, kW Speed etc. But no video ... sorry, Then #lockdown. So only video is when it was 1st on the road .. a clip on insta. Will be back and will either get wife to press the right button or gopro. In the meantime it's fixes and improvements.

1982 on the Esprit (owned since 1987).

I wish the Excel had the Marina door handles as the Toyota ones are really crap. Wish it had Smiths instruments as well, as thew VDO ones bounce around all over the place.

However, according to howmanyleft, there are 371 Marinas compared to 861 Esprits. Maybe they should be referred to as Esprit door handles smile
