Changed my camshafts yesterday because of some minor cam wiping…wobble another lobe looked similar and the other two slightly worn and some of the rockers were pretty worn too. The Exhaust cam was perfect and valve clearance was within spec.

Amazing weekend spent in Wales.

I was very happy with the choice of car for the roads.

That green looks great! I really need to go Wales.

I met up with Paul M3 from here a few weeks ago and snapped this pic

Out and about lots now after a month in pieces, but singing along nicely with new cams and a DVA cylinder head.

Gets better MPG on the commute that my Diesel estate car too so little reason not to use it as much as possible currently!

Wow, that takes me back.
That is the exact spec of my first S1 I took delivery of Aug 97. Titanium with red hood.
Deliberated over the red hood for months.
The current owner is on here but the hood is now black.

The red hood suits it perfectly I think. Loving the colour combo 😊

Your Car looks box fresh, thanks for sharing. I had problems with leakage onto the seat during persistent rain (not great living in Scotland) because the entire hood was fabric and it wicked the water down past the window seal on the removable bars.
The next S1 I had, also Titanium but black hood, had a layer of silicone applied to the hood along where it contacted the window to stop this.
Hope you enjoy your new car.

Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind as this now lives in Scotland too.

I'll keep a lookout for you if I'm over that way. I'm in a red Evora now.

Took this during a lovely drive out on Sunday evening. The only other car I saw for miles was a red S2 Elise.

Stunning car Gad! I nearly bought a red S2 Exige years ago. Unfortunately the sensible head came on and I bought my house!

Cheers smile

You should always remember the old adage, "you can live in a car, but you can't race a house!".

Good to see you have returned to common sense these days though smile

Ha I know but even I wasn’t that good at man maths! I did get a red Elise 111R and loved that along the way.
