I own a 400, and once you put Cup 2 tyres on in, it has basically the same steering response as the 410 (I driven a 410 as well). Seriously, the tyres make a huge difference. Just be careful in the cold and wet... the Cup 2s are pretty slippery.

Agree ref Cup2s in the cold. I have had some dicey moments. However I have found them fine in the wet so long as it is warm. I even did a wet track day at Hethel and didn't have a problem. However their aquaplaning resistance is probably a different story!

Interesting about the tyres. I wouldn't really want to go slippery in the cold and wet though. In the torrents on Saturday the 400 was amazingly competent!

As a side note, I am also mightily impressed by Bell and Colvill. Jamie's welcome is fantastic and who in their right minds gives a prospective customer the keys to a 400bhp sportscar.
+1 to this. I've had excellent service from both sales and support at B&C. Have bought two cars from them (1 lotus, 1 BMW), sold 3 cars to them (the lotus went back to them, as did 2 x BMW), and have had several cars on regular service with them (Lotus & Subarus). And yes, if they know you, they are pretty good with test drives. I have taken advantage twice: once to scratch my itch to compare the BRZ to the GT86, and most impressively, to give an american friend visiting me a ride in an Evora S.

Both those occasions it was understood that I was not going to be buying anytime soon, but they know damn well that I'll be back to get an Evora once I can afford it... If the lottery numbers come up it'll be a 410 in BRG. smile
