Bloody brilliant, from an esprit??
You need to post this on the " sleeper" post as no one has a clue over there....

This needs more info.

What brakes are you running? What rear axle and gearbox? What suspension mods? How much cutting and bending was needed to get it to fit?

That's brilliant.

Reminds me that when my father was a traffic copper many moons ago they had a Lotus Cortina on loan to assess whether it was suitable for a traffic car, I think he said they blew it up!

Cheers Rallye, yes it is an esprit engine, but this engine hadnt ever been fitted in a car, it was a development engine.
Where is the sleeper thread ?

Hi Jordie. The front brakes are Brembo callipers from an Alpha Romeo on Peugeot 405 coupe discs on escort legs, MX5 steering rack, Capri anti roll bar, Bit of a bitsa.
Rear axle is the original 1500GT casing and shafts with a LSD diff.
The gearbox is ZF Auto with Jag casing, BMW torque converter, Volvo tail housing, Transit flex plate and a few adapter plated
Being Auto has helped the axle live this long.
Still gets off the mark, 0-60- 3.97 sec.

What an awesome car.
What's the balance like weight wise? I see you've sensibly moved the water weight to the rear.

Love it, think you've lost track of time though, I snapped it at Le Mans in 2015:

I saw this at North Weald car meet a couple of weekends ago, it's an impressive install, was hoping to chat to the owner but you weren't there. Maybe next time.
