Perspective has a lot to do with it but so has tyre size. 15" used to be the norm now it's 20"and above. Put an old Range Rover on modern wheels and it would look huge/ridiculous.

Autozam / Mazda AZ-1 and a couple of American pickups. AZ-1 is about 25 years old now so IMO just about counts as a classic on age, and definitely counts for what it is
