But that's still a 5 door family hatch parked next to a 2 seater sports car. Replace the TR with a 2019 MX-5 and the size difference would still be pretty similar.

This is just smaller car parked next to a bigger car.
Wow. What a great idea for a thread. Someone should start one. They could call it something like "One sort of car dwarfed by another". Oh, wait...

OP of this very thread idea

It's fairly obvious the intent of the thread was trying to claim all modern cars are big and older ones smaller. This simply isn't true however.

Isn't that just a 3 door hatch and a 5 door estate car.... the one on the left just happens to be older?
Both VW Passats, I think.

But isn't that just two cars of similar size parked next to each other? That said they are both dwarfing the one over the road. hehe

well, the Alfa is a classic that would be dwarfed anywhere else in the world except where they have Kei cars.

More fascinated about the Beetle a long way from home.

Indeed and the Beetle is dwarfed by the chap drinking his coffee, or is that the camera perceptive? You see I've been following the thread so I've picked up on a few of the tricks people use wink

It's more small classic car dwarfs a modern car.... something some PH'ers would claim is not possible on other threads. smile

Must be a PHer, dominating the scene.

You're doing it more right than some of the other posts on this strange but enjoyable thread.

It says Kei car in the pic title but the yellow Honda looks a bit big to be a Kei.

Must be the pic perspective....confused

The white car is a Yaris, not one of its bloated lookalike siblings.

Good grief. It fulfills the OP of classics dwarfed by moderns. I see your point and comparisons however the Yaris used to be a small family car, now much larger especially compared to an Austin A30/35 or Austin 1100 of similar period. The TR4 is quite a narrow car even for the time.

Maybe because they have decent sized tyres on them with something called a sidewall hehe

Heehee. It's the P5 with the deep tyres. The 75 wheels fo look odd. Lots of negative camber as well.

The whole picture looks a bit odd. It looks like the cars have been moved slightly in photoshop or similar.

Is it not just some lens distortion from a wide angle lens?
