The Countryman has different headlights, so I think it's a 3 door and a Clubman estate. There's a bit of small/far away going on with the slight angle and the 3 door being further back in the bay, but the Clubman is a wider and taller car than the 3 door as well as being longer.

I did the think the Clubman was the same car as the 3 door but longer, as it was with the previous shape R56 and R55, but apparently not.

Not just the MINI that has bloated since it returned in modern form.

I didn't realise they made so many different sized versions. It must have been the previous model of Countryman I was thinking of, I remember seeing one parked to SWMBO's wagon and the "Mini" being somewhat taller

Not really classic vs modern but I was gobsmacked at how small the AM looked in the photo.... taken a few years ago in the Peak District...

An 1980’s Ford Granada always struck me as a wide car, but the wider of the two Minis is wider than it.

Mind you that Range Rover is about the size of a transit.

Love it.....

I've owned a couple of Jags going back... 420G and S3 XJ12.. but back in the early 80's a mate (who had more dosh than me) had an XJS V12.... I remember driving it from Croydon down to Brighton, four of us in it, left a very positive and lasting impression.... If I was collecting one would very definitely be on the list.........

And to be fair, I'd parked over the car park drain, so it was a bit lower than the Disco and Volvo to start with.... smile

Still makes it look like a toy car scratchchin

These days Mercedes would probably push a GLC instead of a C class which would move everything up another 3 foot.

Probably. As it happens I had one of these C-Coupes and always have liked the shape.

One of those is rather lovely biggrin
Actually I'm surprise the difference isn't bigger. It would be interesting to see an X350 parked in the middle.
