Don’t know if the day will ever come, perhaps they will need their own special bays soon...
They go on facebook or similar & complain that the parking bays are too small & why doesn't anyone do something about it.
To be fair, parking bays are a bit small for many cars now.

Obviously the piston heads way to look at it is that the cars are too big.
Obviously the correct answer
So, either bigger car parks or less bays may be the solution. scratchchin
Its not just parking bays either, integral garages in new houses are hardly big enough to get a car in. In truth nobodies does, but that's not the point. I expect they are only there as a planning condition to provide off street parking. But they can't be used anyway.

This has probably always been the case, but parking spaces are definitely bigger than they used to be. I remember that the car park I often used in Reading had spaces which were almost exactly the same size as my Mk3 Vauxhall Cavalier and these days that would rate as a tiny car.

I'm sure I put this up about 30 pages ago but never mind - I still like it. On the subject of parking we have a new supermarket here and the bays are far wider now. Finally a bit of sense in the planning.

Its not not parking, its road widths and just above everything in our road infrastructure is now too small.

But as a small country with many of our cities and towns with a road layout designed and built 70-100+ years ago, its just going to get worse. Even new builds are hampered by dumb anti-car council planning that just continues to make the problem worse even for new developments.
Manufacturers won't be making UK market only vehicles.......(apart from Japan's K-Class vehicle of course)

It’s like a lot of ideas / inventions.... let’s get on & make it & worry about small things like infrastructure or any associated problems further down the road. mad

I think that's location dependant.

Of the two Costco's near me, about same distance from home, in different directions, one has the double lines, and the other one hasn't.
Maybe depends how new they are perhaps?

Naughty, driving that S660 on Tennessee plates, it can't be registered with them under the 25 year rule? I saw it at Bicester and appreciate it's from a museum in Tennessee, but I thought it was on those plates for display.

Or is it a UK registered number that's been made up on a set of Tennessee plates?

Nope, number doesn't check out.
