I bought a 3500S that colour in 1979 and it seemed like a big car after a Fiat 125! Funnily enough a Mini like that was parked next to me the other day and it dwarfed my 2005 3 Series. Mini just means a BMW sub-brand these days.
The MINI isn't a big car by today's standards.
Which helps to explain why parking is such a pain these days.
