I remember being shown around Crow Crag (Sleddale Hall) by the new owner around 10 years ago as I mountain biked over from Haweswater and through Longsleddale towards Shap.

The guy was a lovely, friendly, chap - an Architect from Kent ISTR who drove up each Friday, did some work on his own and then went back to Kent on the Sunday! The place was just a bleak as it appears in the film.

...I keep meaning to re visit and see if he ever finished it.
