Still thinks these are such elegant Cars but for me the XK140 DHC is something to behold.

Certainly a distinctive car and a rare sight now outside car shows. Have you ever seen its big brother- the Ghia Willment Cobra? A 427 Cobra with a Ghia body- I think unique. It featured on the cover of Car in the 60s and I was utterly gobsmacked to see the same car at Silverstone Classic 3 or 4 years ago ; spent some time talking to the owner. Not a pretty car but sooo striking .

Very striking indeed, here it is at Le Mans Classic a few years back. IIRC there were a few V8 Fiats also done by Ghia with the same body design as well.

Awesome and brutal, but i'm not sure it falls into 'most beautiful'.

Flame shields at the ready but I think there is a difference between beautiful and handsome. There are a lot of handsome cars here but fewer beautiful ones.
To be beautiful, to me. needs a certain delicacy and purity of line. For instance as a serial TVR owner I admire their handsome looks but beautiful? Not so sure.

I remember that Ghia Willment Cobra being advertised for sale, probably about late 1980s I think at Rod Leach's Nostalgia. He had it for sales for ages, but nobody wanted it.

...a bit like his RX7....

Looks a bit like an Alfa Romeo Disco Volante with a touch of Mercedes SL. Beautiful it's not.

They did versions based on both the XK120 & XK140 too which I quite like. I love Sir William's originals of course but the Ghia SuperSonics are very striking.

One more vote for the F3L - although I'm obviously biased!

While some prefer the purity of the earlier cars, I do think the later 70's Corvette are a stunning shape, though I am slightly biased.

Always had a soft spot for an MGA myself, a timeless beauty IMHO and a step change from the T's that preceded it.

That's true Roy, the Ford Capri Mk3 was a fine looking car and undoubtedly contender for The Most Beautiful Car Ever Made. Mine was this colour biggrin
