Been meaning to post these for ages... walking back from the pub on Christmas day and spotted a couple of nice cars in Beeston, near Nottingham:
Series 2 Land Rover (I think). It had V8 badges and a load of hot rod accessories inside (skull gear knob etc.)
Triumph dolomite (not a sprint):

What makes you think that ?My sister got my Grandad one of these when he died ,she spent about 50p on maintenance and it kept going for years.

I can't imagine he used it much then.CanAm said:
A rare car in that it was made in otherwise (almost) identical FWD (1300/1500) and RWD (Toledo/Dolomite) forms.
? did they not, also, "add" the two together and build a prototype 4x4? I vaguely recall they made a couple and tried them on Rallycross. I also seem to remember reading somewhere that a 4x4 was intended from early on... 'had it gone into production:- it would have beaten those German chaps by some years. mehere said:

? did they not, also, "add" the two together and build a prototype 4x4? I vaguely recall they made a couple and tried them on Rallycross. BL works comp department took a fwd 1300 with a 100+hp tuned engine, and fitted the gearbox, rear axle and suspension from a Triumph 2000 which works driver Brian Culcheth drove in a few of the very early televised rallycross events at Lydden Hill around 68/69.
I have no recollection or knowledge of how they mated the fwd transverse drivetrain to the inline rwd drivetrain though....!!
