I have a peculiar desire for a Matra Rancho, truth be told...

One half has to be an Italian Rover; you know the one with one forward and five reverse gears?

The Rover 800008.
It's 2x(800/2), so mathematically it's still a Rover 800...

It is in fact a ROVOR. The owner said he had to provide a vehicle make for the IVA. He was answering questions as it was generating quite a bit of interest parked on a Wiltshire High Street on a Sunday afternoon. The back half has no engine and that bonnet hides the boot and a bespoke petrol tank. Springs had to be changed to compensate for the loss of engine weight. The rear's steering is not connected. It requires extra lighting (side markers, double reversing lights) as it is over six meters long, so also got a lot of strengthening in the sills!

Because it makes people smile? Everyone seeing it parked there thought it was brilliant.

Imagine seeing that Rover on the motorway, it'll be a total mind-fk while you worked out if the car was coming towards you or not laugh

It's a nice change from the now-common trailer made from the back end of the tow car.

Can’t resist posting this although it’s a bit cheeky being displayed at RaceRetro today. 6th at Le Mans is not too shabby.

Saw this nice 1990 GT II in Crouch End - looked very original apart from the odd headlight eyebrow things.
