That is a LE model, one of the last 500 built. The chrome bumpers were not standard.
Are you sure it's a LE Model????Yes, it's the silver they were painted in but it doesn't have the LE side stripes or LE wheels.
More likely just a bog standard rubber bumper GT which has been converted to chrome bumpers, resprayed and earlier rear lights fitted.
I like the earlier rear lights it's been fitted with and the minilites suit it as well. Presume it's got a nice chrome grill at the front.
Sadly, I couldnt get my own pic, but in Toddington in the Cotswolds today I saw one exactly like this

At last a fine Sunday and not too hot - ideal to take the Beast for a proper airing. At a supermarket petrol forecourt (always first stop) in the middle of French nowhere and with practically nothing else on the road I got in a queue with a Caterham 7 (Brit) and a Triumph Spitfire (French). There was much bonhomie, mostly along the lines of you show me yours and I'll show you mine...

As seen at Stirling's Bend, Brands Hatch on Sunday! Wasn't there a Spitfire or something parked just in front of it - at least, I think there was when I got there? Is this a Checker Cab? It said Chevrolet on the front. Saw bits of Brands I'd never been to before in some 45 years of going there! I was pretty impressed by the cars too: there was a C-type with Ecurie Ecosse sticker in the paddock, plus a sweet grey A30/35 (forgot to check which), an Austin Healey 3000, a spritely-looking rubber-bumpered Midget and spotted around the garage area, a Mk10 Jaguar which might have graced the pages of Left to Die Rotting except it obviously isn't.
And this morning, a cute white Fiat 500 in our local park, complete with GRRC sticker.

Yes,I always walk around the GP circuit during a long race and came across it at Stirlings.Saw bits of Brands I'd never been to before in some 45 years of going there! .
No Spitfire when I got there but there was a blue Marcos parked opposite.
It's not a Checker btw,it's a 1957 Chevy Belair.........
Good GT race as well ,F3 was a farce .....7 cars.

That's it, blue Marcos convertible. Can't have been many of those made. Thanks for putting me right on the Belair too. Sad indictment of F3 when only seven cars. Used to be the showcase formula.
It still said in the program " the most prestigious single seater series in Britain" .I went home as the 2nd race started.
I don't have the patience and stamina I used to have.
I ALWAYS used to stay till the end .
Stopped for a coffee in Oradour-sur-Glane this afternoon and right outside the bar was a 1969 Vanden Plas Princess 1300. I had a nice chat with the (French) owner, who said he'd had it many years.
It's odd - I now know there are three of them, one RHD and two LHD, in this area of deepest rural France and survivors must be pretty rare, even in the UK.
I got an invite for a drink at the local golf club, too!
