Funny how 3-door estates were quite commonplace back then, now you can't even by a 3-door Focus in any body style

I think this car lives in North London - I see one parked on the street (uncovered) whenever I visit my son's flat.

P
Very cool. I remember the C-V8 being featured on Old Top Gear. One of my first memories of watching the show as a child.

Apologies for the quality on this one, but it drove by and I only just caught it:

damn those stylish Italian weddings! (was in Positano)

Although the car was humdrum, this was near the Vatican City in Rome...

Absolutely spotless and LHD, someone clearly loves it!

... I wonder if Ford ever thought of a new retro-styled Anglia?
They would have done, but Renault got there first.

Can't remember the last time I saw a 'shakin' dat ass' Megane on the road. They must have been a right bag of spanners.

Close, but no cigar. The Megane doesn''t have any reverse rake like this:-

Comes close though, twice as large and twice as ugly.

Thanks a bunch BlueHave, I'd almost managed to forget that dreadful advert. Not only did they design a car with a big bum, they made no attempt to hide it!

(Thought the young lady in the ad was quite fanciable though.)

Presumably the roll bar is for stiffness. I don't remember anyone offering that conversion in period - maybe Crayford?

Never seen a Viva vert here either.

Bet the hood looks horrid in up position.

Although that's an HB rather than an HC. If they did one, I suspect they did the other, but the roll bar in the red on doesn't look as 'finished' as a Crayford one would

Nice cars. A few quids worth there.

By the way the "500 Superfast" is actually a more humble 365 GT 2+2.
