Is that Womack of Bawtry?
Yes it is. If you are ever on the A63 to Doncaster, Womack is on the right just before you get to the Rotherham turn off. You can't miss it - black coloured frontage.

Is there anywhere to park near Womacks?
If you knew the telephone number you could give them a ring and ask them.

Registered June 2002. 5litre. No expert but 99.9% will be a kit. I'd keep it on the tarmac if I were them as driving on grass will end in disaster.

Could more likely be one of the MkIV 'continuation' cars from what morphed into AC Cars out of the Brian Angliss/Autocraft business...as they nearly always had a 302 in them, which is the give-away clue here?? Most 'kit Cobras' don't use a 302, rather various versions of the SBC or 351W etc.

The M.O.T. history checker thing for that Cobra shows it as a 1966 AC Cobra.

At the most recent M.O.T. it was on just over 11,000 miles!

In a layby on the A4 near Thatcham yesterday afternoon. I stopped in the layby opposite and the driver gave me a rueful smile suggesting it might have broken down. The registration is odd; a replica Ecurie Ecosse C-type?

666FRY is a genuine AC Cobra 'so owner tells me'. when I first saw the car I checked the tax disc - it said AC - I've known the guy for at least 30years, he also owns several other interesting motorssmile he's owned it for years, original reg number I forget, I maybe have a pic of it somewhere.
Here's a pic of me parked next to him many years ago, I sold the Dutton in 2011 !

It'll be a kit, with an XK engine donor

Possibly by Proteus of someone similar - but they are beautifully done - not a scrap of fibre glass in sight

VOA just says it's a blue 1968 Jaguar 3.4

Probably one of the very last Mk2s in that case (don't believe there was a 3.4 XJ6 - correct me if I am wrong)

As owners of all MkIV cars can, and do say.

They are registered as AC, as it was AC Cars that built them.

The engine size is the give away as to it not being an original 1960's CSX/COB car, (among other things) despite the Jan 66 first used date..... wink

STRANGE???
How does it get the DVLA Jan 1966 Registration date if it was made later??
Could it be a 1966 AC289 cobra with a 427 body style? The 289s were I believe 5 litressmile

It's a kit, and the donor car was registered in 1966.

Saw a white MGB Roadster in Monchique, Portugal at lunchtime today. Certainly wasn't expecting to see anything like that!
