Market Drayton this morning.

The old Rover is there most days, but I hadn't noticed the other thing - don't know what it is - before. It looks like it might be fun to drive though.

First thing I thought when I saw that was " water cannon"
According to the Wiki, UK MOD use them, so I suspect that's ex MOD.

I saw a Cobra Daytona in Budleigh Salterton yesterday. I've no idea if it was genuine or a replica but it sounded good and smelt authentic.
Given they only made 6 and none of them permanently reside in the UK.......

I can 99.9% guarantee it was a replica (or possibly, but unlikely, one of the 50 'continuation' cars made by Shelby to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Daytona Coupe)
Thanks for the info. If I see it again I'll try get a closer look for clues as to what it might be based on.
The Uk agent for Factory Five Racing sold their demonstrator to someone down that way - it could have been that - Rod Leach also used to Market the Shelby ( SuperPerformance ) Daytona ( see Here ) in the UK and Bill Shepard (Mustang) are now the agents who sell the standard and 50th Anniversary models (if there are any left).
Rod Leach, and his company Nostalgia. Just reminded me of the Ginetta G10 when he owned it - he said it was 'the fastest accelerating road car he had ever driven ...including 7 litre Cobras!'
Good excuse to post a pic of it on track back then.

Some modern classics in Tokyo this weekend:

A coupe of E36 AMGs...

And some more traditional classics...

Can I add one? Lots of Ginettas in Japan.

Here's a Dare Ginetta G4 on Tokyo streets.

I was in the Lake District this week, this 911 and Land Rover were in the local pub car park for a few days, so maybe the landlord's?

One day this Mini arrived at the pub, and when I commented to the owner that it didn't sound standard he replied with a big smile and simply said "It's far from it, faaaar from it!".

Saw this, surely rare by now, Citroen XM V6 at Coniston Water.

On the way home today, on a trailer on the M25, I saw a very sad sight, what looked like a freshly restored Jaguar Mk2, the front looked freshly painted with no headlights, bumpers or trim, but from the A-posts back it was completely burned out. frown

Back home in Maidstone I saw a white Triumph Stag and these two have appeared on a driveway just up the road from me.

Couldn't stop to grab a photo due to the traffic but I spotted a black Lamborghini Jalpa / Silhouette just outside Stratford-on-Avon earlier today, the engine hatch was open so I hope it was alright.

The colour didn't suggest that to you?

Was meaning UK as opposed to foreign. Obviously.

May already be somewhere in the depths of this thread but a nice (and original-looking) red Daytona parked up in Mayfair this afternoon, RRR 5 on the plate.

My crappy car reg app would suggest it's got the right cc count to be genuine.

I posted a photo in the "really good registrations" thread that someone had put on Facebook. Apparently it's parked there quite often.

Coolest spot I've ever had when I caught up with this Miura just outside stow on the wold.

1st I've ever seen.

I think there was something going on nearby as I also spotted a blue open top Ferrari probably 60s as well and a 2.7rs 911 earlier in the day.
