At Sleap Aerodrome this morning.

Apparently run at Snetterton last weekend and came 1st.

Does 120mph in second!

With the back seat out, you can see the chain linkage, dynamo and fuel tank.

Could you see how much actual metal is left in that X1/9?
It actually looks very sound but I admit I haven't had a good poke around - well priced at 3k I think

Iain Stewart's 1929 Morgan Super Aero. These little vintage machines are indecently quick.

Yes, that's the chap. He was very gracious when I and three TVR owners saw him park up. He took the time to show us over the car, took out the back rests to explained the chain drive. His partner/wife went on to say that she owned a Griffith 500 for 15 years before selling it last year. Apparently that little Morgan they have raced all over Europe with great success.

Good event - much better than sitting in a muddy field like most Classic shows.

Yes, I meant "seat back" - which seemed to consist of a 1/2 inch thick piece of board with a covering of leather of the most minimal padding!

The bus brought back bad memories - when I was a small child [circa late 1950's]I was visiting my Nan's with my mum, to get there we had to go up a steep hill, well we were in a service bus just like this one, and to get up the hill we had to get off the bus at the bottom of the hill and walk up - the driver said the bus wouldn't make it up there with all the passengers on board!!
Worst bit was of course was it was Pissing down with sleet and rain, I got drenched and had a very bad dose of the Flu as a result - always hated these busses from then onfrown
