i think there probably isn't a car on the road that i would get more excited about seeing than a Singer! I'd be jumping up and down.

I know it's probably heresy to say this on PH but I think those wheels – in particular the rear set – look a bit daft. Like it's been stanced, by stancey types. Although I suppose it could be this look that stancers are trying to achieve with their rides.

Why do they put the fuel filler in the middle of the bonnet?

I've seen photos which show that there's at least 2 x RHD Singer 911's that have been done.

Really? - I wouldn't give it a second glance (in fact, I wouldn't even give it a first glance!)

Never "got" the 911, and never will.

Simply seen too many of them on the roads over the years for them to stand out as being anything special - Including the special editions and custom versions, such as the Singer.

fair enough, but the Singer is a bit more than a customised version. They really put amazing craftsmanship into every part, and it seems as a buyer it is essentially bespoke. I think they are making their own engines now too. The idea of taking something renowned to be great (regardless of individual personal preference) and making it a lot better in pretty much every way... that's really the thing that gets me interested.

This made me smile in the supermarket car park yesterday. Wonder how much has been spent keeping it running and looking this good since April 2000.

I love how discreet and inoffensive it is.

99.5% of passers by wouldn't look twice at it (or even look once).
