COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!! Vol 2
Discussion
I was down at my daughter's new flat today. She's redecorating (and all that sort of thing) before moving in and while I was filling and sanding the usual plasterboard holes, I glanced out of the window to see this chap taking advantage of the residents' freshly refurbished car washing area (it's got blue tarmac and a hosepipe!).
I called my daughter over for a look and gave her a spoiler alert that it wasn't a Mondeo outside. She exclaimed "Oh wow it's lovely, it's Brum."
Not sure if her appreciation was overheard.

Is that a thing nowadays ? Never heard of it as a communal facility. Is it free to use, or do you have to pay for the water ? Does it have power as well, for a pressure washer (or vacuum) ?gothatway said:

There's a retractable hosepipe and a power outlet in the brick shed/bin storage area in the background. No charge as it's all covered by the eye watering annual maintenance charges.
A bloke with a blue Cayman was using it today - I didn't feel like photographing that.

It's a thing where she is, which is a reasonably expensive development on the waterfront in south Hampshire and was built around thirty years ago. The apartment complex (flats!) is all purpose built and well kept.

Thanks, it's a very good idea in a "complex" (!) like that. These two spaces are put aside for the residents to wash their cars - but strictly no parking there! This old girl just a t-cut and genuine set of alloys away from former glory (and probably 10 grand of restorative work....)
Stretching the classic definition for a moment, a fish faced Scorpio in decent nick.
Another German bruiser a coat of paint and a set of alloys (and probably a few grand) away from greatness (a bit of grim 80's after market colour coding going on here too)

Lots of classics out and about today, I took about one hundred and fifty photos during the day, including this TR3 special at Cowley...
And a rather pretty AC Cobra '289' replica at Gaydon...
Will post more once I've edited them down a bit.
Just remembered.... on the way down to Cowley we caught up with a beautiful metallic green Gordon Keeble GT, I think the reg' number was '2 NWV'.
