COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!! Vol 2

Gaydon in the afternoon...
Burnt Grey over Silver Birch tends to look dull in photos, but it was beautiful in the flesh...
Nice early 2000TC...
I was surprised at how small this Notchback Mustang looked...
Tidy 3.4...
And a few from indoors for good measure... they seem to move the collection around more often these days...
The Rover BRM is proper 'boys own' stuff, I could look at it all day long...
S2 Europa from the Dr.Hull collection, it looks slightly out of place at Gaydon but it's another car I could peruse all day long... I know, it takes all sorts...
Jackie Stewart's 1970 March / Ford...

It's an ill wind and all that. Sent Mrs C's SLK for a tidy up at a body shop last July. I wasn't happy with what they did but that's okay they went out of business. Now someone has scraped it and so another body emporium has to be tried. I took this as a good sign:
I'm tempted to say TR2 but in all honesty I'm not sure I can tell the difference between a TR2 and a TR3.

The front grille is the easiest way. TR3s have a full width grille, and TR2s have a smaller one.
Not all TR3s have the bigger grille, but no TR2s do.
I am afraid it is not as simple as that, back in the day lots of people put TR3A front aprons on TR2's so that they looked more modern. This particular car is a short door so could be a later TR2, TR3, or even a genuine TR3A.Not all TR3s have the bigger grille, but no TR2s do.

Apart from the wide mouth front apron, it has exterior door handles.
