Can't remember the last time I saw one of these! Good nick too - slightly faded paintwork but looked original.

Dapster, thank you for posting this red R5 GTT, it's identical to my old one, D665 JFK. Sadly no longer with us as some drugged up buffoon drove into the rear of the car in 1989 at high speed whilst I was stationary and wrote off the car. But, have great memories of camping trips to LeMans, toured all over France in the old girl...the French loved it with the steering wheel 'on the wrong side'...and nearly every drive was taken at break neck speed with the waste gate screw firmly wound in. It's a miracle I survived this era driving

Saw this lovely old thing in Camden Town today:

There is an estate version in Belsize Park which is used regularly, as well.

A teaser or 2 from the last 2 days.

Had 5 minutes of fun with the Boxer ,when he chased me on some D roads.

Been to an event ,it was rather good, shame I couldn't stay longer.

There will be many more from here ,patience...smile

You know there's something wrong with you when you see those two pictures and think "ooh, a Phase 1 16v, I'd love one of those"

Oh that's nice. It looks like an early pre '76 365 GT4 BB rather than the BB512?

If we had parked together,he seemed to have a more priveliged place than me,I would have tried a conversation with him but a language barrier probably was going to preclude that.
So to answer ,don't know whether 365 or 512.

It could be a trick of the light but it looks like there's a NACA duct just ahead of the rear wheel - If so, it's an early 512 BB.

How many tail lights and exhaust pipes were there? (The 365 GT4/BB has 6 lights and pipes [if the exhaust system is as it left the factory], whereas the 512 BB had 4 lights and pipes)

4rephill - I think you're right - it's an early 512. The 512 had a NACA duct and also a chin spoiler. The 365 would have had a smooth chin like this:

365 GT4 BB

BB512

That's a 512BB. Funny how the "big" Ferrari supercar of the day looks so diddy against the car next to it. It's barely as high as the new car's waistline.
