Considering the impeccable styling credentials and the impact they made at the time, I think those Golfs can still be had for reasonable money. That one would look better with the original wheels IMO.
This really might not be the correct thread for this one, but I don't know, so Ill give it a try! Spotted this along the road from where we're staycationing this week. That's a Merc star on the top of the radiator, but I don't know whether this is real, a kit, or what.
I couldn't get any more of a picture without wandering into the drive and the house is quite close to the road. The car is accompanied by an ageing S80 and a Mk4 Golf on the drive, not that that determines anything much.

That's an Excalibur: loosely based on the styling of a Mercedes Benz SSK from the late 1920s.I couldn't get any more of a picture without wandering into the drive and the house is quite close to the road. The car is accompanied by an ageing S80 and a Mk4 Golf on the drive, not that that determines anything much.
They were made in the USA from the early 1970s until 1990, using GM running gear.
The mascot is a sword in a circle.

The car is likely an excalibur, probably from the 80ies.CAPP0 said:

Please can you elaborate what exactly you're doing this week? Even the quotation function couldn't parse this one correctly.

A few from the Kop Hill Climb today
Another cracking event. One of my favourites. My wife remarked that the little Innocenti was "so cute" and I'd forgotten how cool they were. Used to see loads in daily use when my parents lived in Rome in the early 80s. Rarely in as good nick as that example.

Unless I'm mistaken, that one will have said 'De Tomaso' on the back. My wife remarked that the little Innocenti was "so cute" and I'd forgotten how cool they were. Used to see loads in daily use when my parents lived in Rome in the early 80s. Rarely in as good nick as that example.
