COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!! Vol 2
Discussion
Of course it's a Gilbern [a miserable urinal white one] - But Next to the 2 rusty shopping trolley tintops - which all you on this forum seem to pedant over it hardly seemed worth mentioning. OOI There's been several posts with strong colored Gilbern photos within which nobody ever mentions. Yet my post with a mostly obscured Urinal WHITE Gilbern rates a mention and a question - WIERD
Oh well

A speech synthesiser doesn't count, BTW.
Yes it does A speech synthesiser doesn't count, BTW.
I recall it as quite a punchy thing, esp the MG, good comfort and so on, BL trying to fight back against Ford and VW etc. Probably let down by shoddy build quality and not-great engineering or development. But I remember them quite fondly, certainly more of an "oh look! how cool" moment when I see one now, than a Gilbern.

I suspect that what you implied by "Technically interesting" is not what I inferred form "Technically interesting" I recall it as quite a punchy thing, esp the MG, good comfort and so on, BL trying to fight back against Ford and VW etc. Probably let down by shoddy build quality and not-great engineering or development. But I remember them quite fondly, certainly more of an "oh look! how cool" moment when I see one now, than a Gilbern.
