In Knutsford to clear a rental flat, and had a wander whilst waiting for funds to be transferred, and spotted this parked nanchalantly......

Somewhat later an Audi R8 was parked in the same place, but looked very much parked inproperly!

Very nice - I think there's a classic car dealer in the Knutsford area, can't remember the name though.

People said that of Nick Mason when he bought his Ferrari 250 GTO for £35,000 in 1977! wink
Yes he must be kicking himself for not buying one 10 years earlier for £3,500. biggrin

Still, he's done alright out of it, and has made good use of it too.
Martin Brundle was due to race Nick Mason's 250 GTO at the Goodwood Revival a couple of years ago, and as the weekend was getting closer, he started getting really nervous about it, due to the value of the car.

In the end, he contacted Mason about his concerns, saying that he was getting concerned about possibly damaging the car during the race, and wasn't sure he could go through with it, only for Mason to tell him in a matter of fact manner:

"Don't worry about going wheel to wheel in the race if need be, and rubbing the panels, they've all been repaired/replaced in the past through racing. Just don't put it on its roof! The roof's original, and the shell itself has never been damaged."

Brundle went on to have a great weekend with the car (and no damage as I recall)

My favourite story about his car though, is from one bad winter, when there was deep snow and ice everywhere, and he needed to drive his kids to school. The everyday family car wouldn't start, so he tried all of his various other cars, all of which refused to fire up, with the exception of the GTO, so he drove them to school in that, despite the weather! yikes

The only one I know is Trevor Farrington, but he is more into racing cars, and more upmarket(pricey)

Whilst in Nantwich I also keep seeing a beautiful opalescent blue 1965 Alvis convertible - always with top down
It shows as a coupe EDU 115C

Same chap also has a lovely XJS convertible in flamenco red - again always top down.

Never have my phone when I see them...

A great way to travel around the Yorkshire Dales, spotted near Skipton.
Not sure of the model, but it's a 1928 car.

Also saw a pristine Hillman Avenger of all things in Keighley yesterday.
