Gents,

I am getting married on the 30th August this year near Worthing, West Sussex and am after a classic car plus driver.

Can anyone recommend anyone or a company that would be worth trying?

Many thanks!

Hi Mark, congratulations, you must be looking forward to your wedding!

Are you looking to transport both yourself and your newly wedded wife, or are you looking to arrive in a 2 seater (+ driver of course)

Thanks

Thanks! We have so far really enjoyed planning it!

We are after something that my bride will be driven in with her mum from the house to the church and then for us to be driven from the church to the venue.

Not in West Sussex, but a friend of mine runs

http://www.berkshireclassicweddingcars.co.uk/

and they have a range of difference classic Jaguars for weddings.
You might want to try the local Jaguar clubs, with the JEC or JDC to see whether one of their members does this. I know a few of the guys in the Thames Valley JEC do occasional wedding car things.

I used these guys when I got married 10 years ago http://www.sovereigncars.com/
The service was very good and at the time their prices were reasonable.

I used http://oddscarhire.co.uk from near Rochester. I knew they were the guys for me when they described their seventies Silver Shadow as their modern car smile

Ok I see, well mine is just a 2 seater, so if your requirements change at any time, let me know. Thanks

These guys hire out classic cars, but am not sure about the driver side of things. They're based around 15 miles or so from Worthing:

I'm just down the road, and often see their cars (and VW camper vans) out and about. Might be worth a call?

We've used this company for many many years for their car service and also for my wedding 5 years ago.
Owned by a real enthusiast and the Mk II and Lagonda are lovely:

We had great service from Surrey Cadillacs when we got married in 2012. Over the county line from you, but they came out to Reading for us at very reasonable cost.

We hired the same car as James Toseland & Katie Melua had the previous week, one I need to add to the Tenuous Celebrity Link thread over in The Lounge! smile

A couple of years ago we used Bugsy Car Hire, who are based in Eastbourne so quite close to you. The service was excellent and they went out of the way to do what we wanted and were pretty cheap compared to other companies we looked at. We used their Oldsmobile and Chrysler but I think the Chrysler has been replaced now. If that's the sort of car you're after it's definitely worth a call.

I'm in Worthing and have a recently restored 1964 Jaguar 3.8 S-Type on wire wheels, silver paint and deep red leather interior. It's available throughout August if you haven't found anything yet. davidash@designanswers.co.uk
