I suppose Pegaso has been mentioned and discounted?
They don’t appear to have anything with the square rear wheel arch
NSU went in for that shape wheel arch with stuff like the Sport Prinz but it's not one of them.

I still thing this is the closest we're going to get.

Pics of these already posted, more than once.

What a wonderful film - just watched it all the way through. Agree, that looks like an Aurelia GT.

I'm good Ben, the Loti still feels like new, I've garaged it since I brought it home, dry weather only etc, 34000 miles now, I'm after a well sorted Triumph Vitesse Mk2 convertible as a stable mate if you know of one in the trade etc?

Yes they did, back in 2014, and it was discounted because it looks virtually nothing like the mystery car.

I'm not saying its correct, but the red rebodied 356 in the link looks a hell of a lot like the "blue car in London" mystery car in the other thread!

Maybe some kind of weird parallel universe will occur and lines will cross, meaning that the opposite threads will solve each other......

I was just looking at pictures of Gregoire cars, and the front end of the mystery car seems to have some overhang, like a FWD car. Maybe a prototype?

Trouble is there were so many "specials" around in those days. My dad build a special, I need to find the pics and try to ID it. Dad has the first stages of Alzheimers and can't remember what it was.

He and mum toured Europe in it with me as a baby in the back.

Cough cough. My guess was clearly the closest of all and I'm craving acknowledgement of this fact. smile

It’s not nearly big enough old chap
In fact, if I didn’t know better I’d suggest it’s a model!
